“I was uncomfortable riding for long periods in the drops, I often had to consciously make my left leg work evenly with my right, and I was experiencing some upper & lower back discomfort on longer rides.

This was all corrected after the first fitting session and 2 additional test saddle follow-up sessions. I immediately noticed a difference the first ride I went on after my bike fit session. I felt more in control of my bike, I was more balanced, and I rode stronger. I was able to ride in the drops for miles. My left leg had no choice but to work in sync with my right leg, and I was able to ride one gear higher on climbs. My fitness & strength improved incredibly. My new position on the bike allowed me to breathe better which led to quicker recovery after tough climbs and long sprints. Two follow-up test-saddle sessions led to the end of lower back discomfort.

I'm now a true believer that anybody wanting to invest in a good road bike, should get properly fitted to the bike prior to hitting the road.”

If you don’t think time with Tim is worth it, you’re wrong. I’ve been biking for 20+ years now and I always thought “If I feel ok on the bike, then I’m probably ok.” Not the case. I feel completely at home on my bike after four hours with Tim. No more pain, anywhere, I have a more efficient pedal stroke, my arms are relaxed, my breathing is better, my power transfer is improved, my climbing is quicker. Do not mistake the fit you got from the place you bought your bike as the same experience. The key is: I feel better on my bike, therefore I want/can ride more, therefore I get stronger.

“When I retired, I was looking forward to riding more miles, but I found it was difficult. I was just not comfortable on my bike. Initially, I thought I needed more conditioning. When I hit over 500 miles a month, and still dreaded longer rides, I knew the old dog had to try new tricks. That's when I got a bike fit at GreshFit. It turned out to be one of the best investments I've made in 50 years of cycling.

In doing research in preparation for this, I learned there are several ways to do a bike fitting. I was happy to learn that Tim approaches every fitting as unique and it would be based on an assessment of my needs and observed limitations, rather than some formulaic approach. In the two sessions, he listened attentively to my objectives for the fit; evaluated my posture and mobility off the bike; watched me on my bike pedaling on a trainer; and finally, observed me again on my bike under load following all the adjustments he had made. He shortened and raised the stem providing noticeable relief to my neck and shoulder muscles. He fit a new saddle and seat post that not only minimized saddle pressure points, but also corrected a major problem I had as I was not sitting symmetrically. I am now able to apply more power more evenly, to both pedals. He also marked and repositioned my shoe cleats in a minute or two, something I can do, but takes me much longer fiddling with adjustments to get it just right.

Thanks to Tim, I'm now having a lot more fun and having a lot less avoidable discomfort cycling. Can't say I'm any faster, but at least I can enjoy those longer rides! Highly recommended!”

“When I started cycling I had knee and pain. I went and had Tim give me a proper fit. He took his time explained everything to me. We went through a number of saddles until I found the right one which he loaned me to make sure it was the right fit and until he could get a new one ordered for me. After my fitting I felt much more comfortable and confident on my bike. I can now ride for hours with no issues.

I would recommend anyone looking for a fit or training classes to check out GreshFit.”

My bike fit at GreshFit was a gamechanger!

I always thought that low back and hip pain was a natural part of cycling and just kept grinding my teeth during and after my rides. I kind of got used to this pain.

But, I was referred to Tim at GreshFit and I am so glad I finally ended up here. The biggest change we made was changing my cranks from 170 mm to 155 mm to match my small body of 5’2” and it was literally a game changer!

Trust me for the first time in my cycling life I have zero low back or hip pain during or after my rides. It is unbelievable! I wish I had this bike fit done at the very beginning of my amateur triathlon career and I might have prevented so many injuries. Thank you Tim for all your help and I would recommend GreshFit in a heartbeat!”

“Tim!! You really out did yourself.😊 After my fitting, everything is now on point. I had the best ride I've ever had since I've started riding last year. Thank you so much for working with me and being honest with me. I appreciate you. I liked riding before but I really, really like riding now.🙂 I can't wait for my Century next season. Thanks again!”

Taking up cycling after years of competitive weightlifting left me with a wide and strange array of muscular imbalances that often caused pain on and off of the bike. After spending 2 years getting fitted by every fit system (BG Fit, Retul, WobbleNaught, Serotta) and reading everything I could on the matter the pains never went away. I would change one parameter only to make problems worse or have something else pop up. After a lot of frustration I contacted Steve Hogg, who recommended that I take the trip up to Tim from Washington, DC.

I was attracted to Tim's methodology because it’s simple (this is not to say that anyone can do it), effective, and emphasizes balance and stability over all else. There's no way for a rider to be comfortable and efficient if they're using excess energy bracing and straining themselves on every pedal stroke. Our initial fit lasted close to 3.5 hours and I left with a number of changes and tweaks that I would have never thought of myself. Tim's advice went against everything my previous fitters had told me, but it all made sense.

I immediately felt more balanced and powerful on the bike. In fact, I was now pain free for the first time ever and ended up making the mistake of ramping up my riding too fast and ended up having to back off! Not having to recover from tweaks and injuries made long and tough training rides easy. I'm also a numbers person and immediately noticed how much more comfortable higher power outputs felt and the difference in overall efficiency after the fit.

Tim has also provided incredible follow-up service from our original fit. I switched frames and saddles since my first fit and had trouble dialing them in, but a quick visit got things back exactly where they should be. The service and results speak for themselves and I would highly encourage those looking at getting a bike fit to seek out Tim's service. There's simply no replacement for a smart, well thought out methodology that prioritizes what matters for having a comfortable and efficient cycling experience.
